Hello, my name is Sid Srinivas! I am a passionate business leader who is thoroughly involved within the business landscape of my community. Through my experience of competitive success, business leadership, and entrepreneurship, I am very excited to be part of Team Fibrometer. Business is a powerful field that is present in all facets of life. It can be used to inspire change of all forms - societal, economic, or practical. The Fibrometer utilizes a mixture of innovative technologies in order to revolutionize a dormant market. I am passionate about inspiring positive change through business and I do this frequently within my community through volunteering and community service activities. My prior experience includes being part of DECA where I placed internationally and am a Vice President of my school’s chapter. I also have experience in finance, project management, and entrepreneurship through start-ups and other business ventures. It is my goal to utilize business to uplift the community and the individuals around me and I am very excited to be making an impact through the Fibrometer.

As someone deeply interested in finding innovative solutions to today’s evolving world, I hope to develop a product to better diagnose fibromyalgia, shifting the understanding of this often overlooked condition. My experience in business and my role as the VP of Marketing for my school’s DECA chapter, have helped me to promote issues like fibromyalgia and advocate for better solutions. It has strengthened my ability to see the bigger picture, identify opportunities, and drive impactful change in a variety of contexts. Additionally, I have experience in a startup which is dedicated to addressing global challenges and uplifting underserved communities. These experiences have been transformative as they have taught me to collaborate effectively and stay resilient despite ongoing failures. This allowed me to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset especially when it comes to establishing and creating a sustainable impact. I am very excited to be a part of this team and participate in the Conrad Challenge, where I look forward to presenting the Fibrometer, in hopes of making a tangible impact.

Utilizing my experience with biological research and deep interest health and medicine, I’m excited to contribute to the design of a Fibromyalgia diagnosis device that can not only more accurately diagnose patients, but also help them get the crucial treatment they need in a faster manner. I hope to bring my planning, leadership, and organization skills that I’ve developed from leading my Scout Troop, being a HOSA chapter officer, and a Science Olympiad leader, to further grow and develop Fibrometer.  The experience I bring in community growth for the project stems from the various community health initiatives I am leading, such as health kit collaborations with Convoy of Hope and Small Things, and partnerships with Chester County Hospital, and Good Fellowship Ambulance Corps. From a young age, I’ve always been drawn to service, from volunteering at Chester County Hospital to helping teach students about medical professions. As such, I hope to bring my medical motivation, as well as research skills developed from working with Brown and Oxford PhD students, to create this biomedical device that will end up helping a great deal of lives. Having multiple family members suffer from chronic diseases, I understand the danger late diagnosis can cause. This issue is what initially drew me to the idea of Fibrometer. With my the other motivated and skilled teammates, we hope to expand and improve Fibrometer to help revolutionize Fibromyalgia diagnosis.

As someone with a deep passion for research, health, and medicine, specifically focused on patient comfort, I am dedicated to minimizing the difficulties that Fibromyalgia patients frequently undergo to receive an accurate diagnosis. I have a strong foundation in teamwork and collaboration, built from publishing research and collaborating with undergraduate and PhD- -level students. Above all, I enjoy collaborating with others to make meaningful scientific advancements. Beyond the lab, my experience in health and math competitions and volunteering at clinics have helped me to build problem-solving skills while furthering my passion for patient care and comfort. While competing in competitions has furthered my understanding and knowledge, I personally derive the most fulfillment from learning about patient experience and interaction with patients through volunteering. My first-hand experiences have allowed me to gain insight into the challenging and costly consequences of a lengthy diagnostic process, deepening my interest in innovation and passion for mitigating problems. I am looking forward to presenting the Fibrometer alongside my like-minded teammates with the goal of having a meaningful impact on diagnostic efficiency to alleviate the pain chronic conditions cause patients.

With a passion for applying machine learning (ML) to amplify human abilities, I seek to find a new angle to solve problems. The Fibrometer is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me to hone not only my skills but also my passion for making an impact on a chronic pain condition that has caused more than 2% of the global population to suffer. With experience in natural language processing and neural networks at Penn State University, I have a strong grasp of the components we utilize in the analytics software of this device. I contribute my front-end expertise to software competitions and start-ups aimed at using retrieval-augmented generative (RAG) models for easier college campus navigation in a universal manner. I aspire to eventually make an impact in the healthcare sector and automate human-intensive tasks via ML models; as an intern and project lead under a Duke drug development lab and an upcoming Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia informatics research intern on medical imaging, I satisfy my desires and strengthen my hopes of making health-related impacts. Outside of these interests, I enjoy my high school's Economics and Business & Management classes which I wish to also pursue in my future.
